AMERICAN HEMP FARMER Wins!

Doug Fine’s Debut Feature Film, AMERICAN HEMP FARMER, wins Best New Mexico Feature Documentary at the 24th Annual Santa Fe Film Festival

I’m in “pinch me” mode as my first feature film, AMERICAN HEMP FARMER, won the Best New Mexico Feature Documentary award at is World Premiere at the 24th Santa Fe Film Festival this weekend. That’s event host Joyce DeWitt of Three’s Company fame next to me after presenting the award (Matthew Modine is clapping in the front row, second seat in).

For anyone working on a dream film project, hearing laughter and cheers in a theater as folks watch your movie is a fine feeling. Makes years of effort worth it. The laughter especially is energizing as the theme of AMERICAN HEMP FARMER is, “Who says saving the world can’t be a blast?” Thanks to all who attended, and to the humans who helped bring forth this film, behind and in front of the camera, plus our sponsors. It's been a super fun labor of love the whole way through. I hope it helps nudge humanity into its inevitable regenerative future. Please keep your eyes and ears open as this film’s journey continues.  You can subscribe to these Dispatches From The Funky Butte Ranch and follow me on Instagram.

Back on the Funky Butte Ranch, I’m sending regenerative wishes to all as I head out to gather the morning chicken eggs. So many frittatas, so much French toast. All this healthy living can be pleasantly dangerous. You can find my books and ebooks at: https://DougFine.com There you can also hit the contact button book me to speak at your organization’s event or for regenerative farm consulting.
